Sandals St. Vincent Review: If you’re wondering whether Sandals St. Vincent is worth it — for us, it absolutely was.

When Sandals announced their newest property in the Grenadines, I knew it would be something special. But after spending a week there, I can confidently say that Sandals St. Vincent & The Grenadines has exceeded every expectation — and then some. This resort isn’t just another Caribbean getaway; it’s a lush, luxurious sanctuary that feels refreshingly new while still carrying the signature warmth and sophistication that Sandals is known for.

The Property: A Caribbean Dream Realized

From the moment we arrived, I was struck by how breathtaking the property was. Sandals St. Vincent feels like it was built into nature rather than on top of it — with its emerald-green hillsides, palm-fringed beaches, and shimmering blue water that stretches as far as you can see.

Our room was a Lady Palm Partial Oceanview Suite with a Media Room, though calling it “partial” feels modest. The view was spectacular — a full, panoramic sweep of the Caribbean Sea right from our balcony. The suite itself was incredibly spacious, featuring double sinks, a large shower and soaking tub, and ample closet space and storage (and that’s saying something for someone who doesn’t pack light!). The large balcony included a tranquility soaking tub with privacy shades and a cozy sitting area, creating the perfect retreat for morning coffee or sunset views.

Several room categories, including the spectacular swim-out suites, offer direct access to serene, lagoon-style pools — a true luxury for those who love to step straight from their patio into the water.

For those who prefer something even closer to the water, the resort offers beachfront suites, overwater bungalows, and oceanfront villas that redefine barefoot luxury. Every room category seems designed to impress.

Dining: A Culinary Journey Through the Caribbean

Foodies will absolutely adore the dining experiences at Sandals St. Vincent. Each restaurant brings something distinct to the table, and I was especially captivated by how well the resort celebrates local flavor. These were just a few of our favorite restaurants:

Buccan Restaurant quickly became one of our favorites. It’s the heart of local culture here — offering authentic Caribbean dishes bursting with spice, color, and creativity. Every meal felt like a love letter to St. Vincent itself.

We also dined at Scrimshaw, the resort’s elegant seafood restaurant. The dishes were beautifully presented, and the flavors rivaled any fine dining experience in the region. For sushi lovers, Gatsu Gatsu is a must. Not only was the sushi fresh and inventive, but the chefs created a special roll just for us — an unforgettable touch that showed how personalized the experience can be.

Pools & Water Features: A Refreshing Escape

The pool scene at Sandals St. Vincent is as versatile as the rest of the resort. With multiple pools — from the lively main pool with a swim-up bar to quieter retreats ideal for couples — there’s a spot for every mood. The beachfront infinity pool offers postcard-perfect ocean views, while select villas and suites feature private or swim-up pool access for an added touch of exclusivity.

If you’re craving a more peaceful vibe, the spa hydrotherapy pool provides the ultimate reset before or after your treatment at the Red Lane Spa.

Spa & Relaxation: Pure Island Serenity

One of my favorite parts of our stay was visiting the Red Lane Spa, which perfectly blends nature and tranquility. I booked an outdoor massage, and it was nothing short of magical — imagine relaxing under tropical trees with a soft breeze and the gentle sound of a babbling brook in the background.

The hydrotherapy circuit was another highlight, complete with a steam room and sauna that melted away every trace of stress. For anyone craving deep relaxation, the spa alone makes the trip worthwhile.

For guests who like to stay active, Sandals St. Vincent offers far more than just a gym. In addition to a fully equipped fitness center with modern cardio and strength equipment, guests can enjoy workout classes, guided gym support, or even schedule personal training sessions with an on-site fitness instructor. The resort also features pickleball and tennis courts, where you can play casually, take a private lesson, or even join friendly tournaments — a fun way to connect with other guests while staying active in paradise.

Adventures & Excursions: Beyond the Resort

Sandals St. Vincent offers an ideal balance of serenity and adventure. We joined the included kayak excursion to the famous Bat Cave, just a short paddle away. Kayaking through the cave with a small group was thrilling — a perfect blend of exploration and natural wonder.

We also took a powerboat tour to Mustique and Bequia, two nearby islands in the Grenadines. Both offered a glimpse into the laid-back island life that makes this region so special. Between the turquoise water, colorful villages, and friendly locals, it was a highlight of our trip.

Thoughtful Touches: Designed with Guests in Mind

What really sets Sandals St. Vincent apart is the attention to detail. Little touches make a big difference here — like the bicycles available throughout the resort, so you can grab one and pedal from your suite to breakfast or the beach. It’s small conveniences like that which make the stay feel effortless and fun.

The staff, too, were incredible — friendly, professional, and genuinely proud of their island. From restaurant servers to the housekeeping team, every interaction felt warm and sincere.

Getting There: What to Expect

Traveling to St. Vincent requires a bit more time than some of the other Caribbean islands, but the journey is absolutely worth it. Guests staying in Luxury or Concierge rooms can expect about a 45-minute to one-hour transfer from the airport. For those in Butler-level suites, the resort provides a scenic ferry transfer, gliding along the coast directly to the resort — a beautiful introduction to the island.

The best time to visit St. Vincent is typically December through May, when the weather is dry and sunny. That said, the June to November period offers fewer crowds and great value for travelers looking for a quieter experience.

My Takeaway: Sandals St. Vincent Is a Standout

Having visited multiple Sandals resorts over the years, I can say without hesitation that Sandals St. Vincent & The Grenadines ranks among my favorites. It’s effortlessly luxurious, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful surprises. From the exquisite dining to the stunning scenery, it’s an ideal escape for honeymooners, couples, and luxury travelers seeking something fresh yet familiar.

If you’re dreaming of an all-inclusive Caribbean retreat that blends modern elegance with authentic island charm, this is it.
